Boca Raton, Florida, April 14th 2011. - Frost & Sullivan has distinguished Smartmatic with the 2011 North American Frost & Sullivan Award for Customer Value Enhancement based on its recent analysis of the identity management systems biometrics market.

Smartmatic's device, the PARmobile, collects biometric and biographic data by using a modular design and open standards-based architecture, which helps end users, achieve a significantly higher degree of accuracy and reliability.

Some of Smartmatic's significant projects include the Biometric Voter Registration in Bolivia, which used thousands of units of Smartmatic's PARmobile for the registration stations and training courses for the National Electoral Court's staff. Another project involving Mexico's Secretariat of Governance employed Smartmatic, along with partner Cross Match Technologies, Inc., to supply new technologies to improve and safeguard the national registry. Furthermore, the United Nations, through its Development Programme (UNDP), selected Smartmatic to provide new technologies for the improvement of the electoral register of the Republic of Zambia.
